Service Description

This course focuses on the Pyramid of Learning and the building blocks that support the foundation of early academic success. The Pyramid of Learning is a helpful visual for understanding why the sensory systems are so important for the development of children! It shows the sensory systems as the foundation for many other areas of development. Children need a strong foundation of nourishment for the central nervous system [BRAIN!] to attend, behave and learn. This course includes an overview of the sensory systems, sensory motor development, perceptual-motor development and cognition intellect. Become a skilled educator in accessing what level your students may be on within the pyramid and create lessons and activities that will assist in reaching higher learning. Course formats: This course is offered in group courses and online format when available. Acceptance information: This course is accepted for professional development training requirements and annual in-service hours/credits in most states.
