Service Description

Learn how to effectively assess student skill levels and create lesson plans tailored to the individual needs of each student. The course covers topics such as understanding different learning styles and differentiating instruction to fit the needs of all learners. Create and implement interventions to address student needs and how to use data to inform instruction. By the end of the course, gain the skills and knowledge to create a classroom environment that is tailored to meet the needs of each student. Course formats: This course is offered in group courses and online format when available. Acceptance information: This course is accepted for professional development training requirements and annual in-service hours/credits in most states. Learning Outcomes: ● Identify the different skill levels of learners. ● Develop strategies to effectively teach to different levels of learners. ● Utilize effective teaching techniques for different skill levels. ● Create lesson plans that are tailored to the skill level of each student. ● Explain the importance of adapting to the needs of each student. ● Assess the progress of students in order to adjust teaching approaches. ● Analyze methods to engage and motivate students of varying skill levels. ● Develop the ability to assess a student’s skill level and adjust instruction accordingly. Topics covered: ● Introduction to Skill Level Teaching ● Identifying Student Ability Levels ● Developing Instructional Strategies for Different Ability Levels ● Differentiating Instruction for Skill Level Teaching Assessment methods: Multiple choice quiz and/or written assignments. Instructional methodology: Interactive Instruction, experiential learning, read written material, view videos, and listen to audio segments.
